Helen Slater leads a cast including Christian Slater (no relation, despite what your brain insists), and Yeardley Smith (Lisa Simpson!!!!) as she becomes an 80s folk legend. It’s an 80s movie that takes place in Florida, so anything can happen. There’s important lessons on honor, friendship, fashion and 80s music. Pat Benatar’s Invincible was written specifically for the film and it’s a perfect fit, and this one most certainly passes the Bechdel test.
